This project focused on making a book cover for a classic novel we were given. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, tells the story of two characters' attempts to emancipate themselves. Huck desires to break free from the constraints of society, both physical and mental, while Jim is fleeing a life of literal enslavement. For the cover of this book, I wanted to highlight the journey Finn and Jim went on throughout the novel. Using my own photography skills, I went out to a local creek in my hometown and took two straw hats to get started. After getting the photographs I needed, I used simple typography to bring the rest of the cover together. Although this book is a classic novel, I decided to give the cover a more modern day look.
